Serious crash
update: SH73
The crash on the West Coast Road at about
0914 hrs on 15/8/13 involved a Ute towing a trailer. The
trailer has become uncoupled and veered off the road
striking a person on the side of the road.
The crash
occurred on the town side of Christchurch Mens prison and
did not involve anyone from the prison.
One person has
been taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Diversions
are still in place but it is hoped the road will be open in
approximately 1 hour but there may be reduced speed
restrictions in the area beyond that while the scene
investigation continues.
