Hutt Valley Police
investigate homicide

Hutt Valley police are investigating the death of a
25 year old male. Police were called to reports of a fight
and gunshots in Jackson Street, Petone around 10.40 pm last
night.
A 25 year old male was found a short distance away.
Despite CPR at the scene he died.

Investigations Manager, Detective Senior Sergeant Dave
Thornton says that “We are in the early stage of our
investigation and it is progressing well. Today we will
focus on a scene examination and we will continue to speak
with witnesses.”
The name of the deceased will not be
released until we have spoken with his
family.
