Hutt Road, Petone: Road Closure Due To Large Fire

Fire service are currently dealing with a large fire at an industrial premises along the Hutt Road in Petone Lower Hutt. Traffic is currently being diverted either via Riddlers Crescent and Udy Street Petone around the immediate area.

There should be no disruption to any commuters travelling on the Western Hutt Road at this time however people should refrain from 'rubber necking' to enable optimum traffic flow as we approach peak traffic time.

Police are asking people to avoid this area to allow for emergency services to deal with the incident as best they can.
