Monday, 26 August 2013, 3:49 pm
Press Release: Wellington City Council
Expect delays on Taranaki Street
Motorists are advised to
either avoid or expect delays around Taranaki Street between
Courtenay Place and Wakefield Street this afternoon and
early this evening.
Taranaki Street will be down to one
lane both ways while a large crane, which was used to
dismantle the Lukes Lane lift shaft last week, is packed
down and loaded onto large trucks to be shipped back to
Christchurch.
After 7pm there may also be some disruption
to traffic at the Courtenay Place end of Manners street,
which may delay buses, as some trucks manoeuvre out of Lukes
Lane. Commuters are asked to be
patient.
