Albany Stadium Pool design team announced
Auckland Council has selected its key partners to design the new Albany Stadium Pool.
A consortia led by Creative Spaces won a competitive process to develop the design for the community pool, which is intended to open in 2016.
“We were fortunate to receive some impressive proposals from a strong grouping of participants. Of all the teams we felt that the Creative Spaces led team offered the best opportunity to hit the ground running with a team and approach tailored to the project,” says Auckland Council’s manager – leisure, Rob McGee.
“The Albany Stadium Pool project will be a unique proposition for Auckland Council’s pool and leisure facilities, and we felt this team really understood the challenge and had the talent to respond to it in a positive manner.”
The consortia’s experience covers a variety
of major aquatic projects around Auckland.
