National News

Police are seeking public assistance to locate 49-year-old Edwin Henry TAYLOR in relation to prolific fraud offending nationwide.

He has been identified as the suspect for recent offending in Feilding and the wider Manawatu area and there is a warrant for his arrest.

He is extremely good at convincing his victims that he is caring and honest and takes advantage of their kindness. He has some skill in tattooing and sometimes uses an offer of a free tattoo to gain trust.

TAYLOR is described as being of European descent, 192cms tall and solid build with long dark hair that he normally wears in a pony tail. He is transient and known to travel large distances; so the appeal extends across New Zealand.

If any members of the public see TAYLOR they should not approach him but instead call Police immediately.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact their local police station. Information can also be provided anonymously to the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
