Car v Pedestrian - Fatal **Update Road Open**

At about 1:40am this morning Police and other services were called to a pedestrian that had been struck by a car on Vivian Street in Wellington.
Vivian Street between Taranaki and Tory Streets was closed for a time while a female was being attended to.
As a result, a 24 year old female died shortly afterwards in hospital.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating and the driver of the car is assisting Police with the inquiry.
Police are informing family members and next of kin and no other details are available at this stage.
