Santa and the Fairy Tale Christmas—join the fun!

Santa is coming to town! Elves, fairies, princesses, and knights will be among the fairy tale characters taking to the Main Street of Upper Hutt for the much-loved Santa Parade.

UPPER HUTT, Wellington NZ, 18 SEP 2014—An invitation is extended to all businesses operating in Upper Hutt, community groups, sports clubs, schools, and pre-schools to join the magic and enter a ‘Fairy Tale Christmas’ float in this year’s Santa Parade. There is a $1,000 dollar prize for the float that best reflects the theme of Fairy Tale Christmas.

The Upper Hutt Santa Parade is set to delight children and adults alike with this year’s magical theme of ‘Fairy Tale Christmas.’ Joined by Ice Queen stilt walkers, jugglers, brass bands, floats, and of course Santa, this year the parade will take place on Sunday 7 December, commencing at 3.00 pm, and travelling along the length of Main Street.

Further details and online registrations will be available on the Upper Hutt City Council website in mid-October. Now is the time to get those fairy tale Christmas creative ideas flowing and put the ideas to your school, club or boss!

The Upper Hutt Santa Parade is organised by Upper Hutt City Council and Expressions Arts and Entertainment Centre, and is promoted by the Upper Hutt Leader.
