Arrest following attack at Waikato University

Today Hamilton Police arrested an 18 year-old Hamilton man in relation to a violent attack on a young woman at the Waikato University campus last month.
The incident occurred on Saturday 23 August at around 8:30am while the young woman was walking through the university grounds.
Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Patterson says that police are relieved that they have been able to identify and locate the offender.
The arrested man will appear in the Hamilton District Court tomorrow.
