Necessary work to monitor sewer system

Council will soon be carrying out work on Wainui Road near The Esplanade to install a flow meter to monitor the flow in the wastewater system.

Fulton Hogan plan to commence on Monday 6th October, dependent on good weather and will take approximately one week to complete the work.

The install involves digging down to the sewer and installing a flow meter, which will help with flow monitoring in the wastewater system.

For safety, reduced speed limits will be in place for the duration of the work and Council ask that people respect traffic and follow instructions from site staff.
