Motor Vehicle Crash West of Rangiora - Canterbury

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a vehicle crash west of Rangiora on Oxford Road involving 2 vehicles, a small sedan car and an ambulance. The crash occurred at around 8.10pm.

Three ambulance officers who were in the ambulance have minor injuries and are being treated at the scene.

The 17 year old female driver of car is being taken to Christchurch Hospital with moderate injuries.

After the crash the ambulance has hit a power pole which has then broken. Police advise that repairs to a power pole could cause some disruption to power supplies in the area tonight.
