Fatal Hit and run

Emergency services are at the scene of a fatal hit and run which occured on Universal Drive, Henderson, Auckland at approximately 9.50pm this evening.

A car that was exiting the Pack n Save Supermarket has struck a motorcyclist forcing the rider into the rear of a parked car.

This car then left the area without stopping.

The male rider of the motorcycle aged 50 years has died at the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses to this crash or information about the car that left the scene.

It is believed that this vehicle is a late model Honda Civic saloon coloured silver.
