Female injured in Wairarapa
At about 5pm tonight, Police received a number of calls from the Miriam Street area in Masterton advising that a female had been injured in an altercation where gang members were present.
On arrival, Police located a female with serious injuries- possibly caused when two cars collided.
That female was attended to by medical staff at the scene and has since been flown to Wellington Hospital where she is undergoing intensive care.
Police remain at the scene where cordons have been put in place and an investigation is now underway. Staff from Wellington have also travelled over to the Wairarapa to assist with keeping the situation calm.
