Manawatu Police are seeking help from the public after a Himatangi resident was hit by a motorcycle between 7:30pm and 8:00pm on Saturday the 6th of June 2015.
A local man was walking on the grass verge in front of his house with a friend when struck by the motorcycle.
As a result of the collision the man received serious injuries and requires surgery.
After the collision the rider of the motorcycle has left the area without offering the injured man assistance.
Police are seeking anyone who was in the Koputara Road, Himatangi Beach area between7:30pm and 8:00pm on Saturday the 6th of June 2015, or anyone who may know the rider of the motorcycle to come forward and speak to Police.
