Police are asking motorists travelling on roads around the Kapiti/Horowhenua area tonight to take care due to reports of surface flooding.
The flooding is quite bad on roads around the Levin area is quite bad with numerous reports of flooding on SH1.
The weather is not likley to improve until the morning so Police are asking motorists to take extreme care on the roads.
NZTA have regular updates on their website so motorists should check this before heading out.
