Police received a report about 2.15 pm today from a person who said his car was shot at on SH1 in the Dome Valley, north of Warkworth. The incident occurred when he was overtaking another car.
A woman opened the rear window of the car being overtaken, leaned out of the window, and pointed a handgun at his car, then shot at his car. Police later located the car at an address in Warkworth and recovered a BB gun from the car.
A woman is assisting police with their enquiries at Workworth Police Station.
