Last chance to take part in Tūhoronuku election

Last chance to take part in Tūhoronuku IMA Ngai Tāwake Hapū Kaikōrero election – voting ends this Friday.

The four-week Tūhoronuku Independent Mandated Authority (Tūhoronuku IMA) Hapū Kaikōrero election process for Ngai Tāwake hapū (Kaikohe-Waimate-Taiāmai region) ends at noon this Friday, 28 August 2015.

During the recent Hapū Kaikōrero election round, in which 27 new hapū representatives joined Tūhoronuku IMA, more than one nomination was received for Ngai Tāwake, therefore an election is required to elect one representative from the following two Ngai Tāwake nominees: TAU, Raniera (Sonny) TAUNGAPEAU, Adrianne Junellie A meet-the-candidates election hui for Ngai Tāwake hapū was held at Kohewhata Marae on 20 August 2015.

Voter packs have been sent to all registered members of this hapū.

Voters not currently registered with Te Rūnanga-ā-iwi o Ngāpuhi may complete a Register to Vote form which will be validated by the Independent Returning Officer (IRO). The Register to Vote form is available from the IRO by phoning the Election Helpline on 0800 666 028, or emailing elections@electionz.com.
