Police investigate possible serious assault
28/8/2015 Detectives in Hamilton are investigating whether a serious assault may have taken place, after the discovery of a quantity of human blood behind the Activate Church, in Bisley Road, Hamilton East. Detective Sergeant Andrew Mortimore said “Police were first called at about 3:30pm on Thursday.
Inquiries to date have established that
the blood was there at 11am Thursday when the facilities
were used by an external group for a function.” At this
time, the investigation has not been able to identify any
possible victims. Detective Sergeant Mortimore went on to
say “The scene and presence of blood is indicative of a
serious assault, and Police are appealing for any
information that will assist in identifying a potential
victim, or suspicious activity in and around the area.
