Bay of
Plenty Regional Council Pollution Prevention staff responded
to a report of thousands of plastic beads washed up on
Pāpāmoa Beach near Tauranga this afternoon.
Pollution
Prevention Team Leader Stephen Mellor said that the matter
has now been referred to the Rena debris hotline for
clean-up.
