The man who died following an explosion at Salters Cartage in Wiri yesterday was Jamey Lee Bowring, aged 24 of Huntly.
Police and WorkSafe NZ investigations into the incident are ongoing, and the matter has been referred to the Coroner.
Jamey’s family have requested privacy and will not be issuing any statements to the media.
Police would like to offer their deepest sympathies to the family during this difficult time.
