Following recent heavy rain a major
slip has closed Maniatutu Road north of Lake Rotoiti.
Maniatutu Road, a local rural road between Otaramarae

Rotorua Lakes Council says the slip is located about nine

the Rotorua Lakes Council and Western Bay of Plenty District
Rotorua Lakes Council roading
contractors are currently working to clear the slip but warn
that it might be several days before the road can be made

Local residents with medical

arrangements in case a medical emergency develops.
Emergency services and New Zealand Transport Agency have
