Update on Raumanga Crash - Whangarei - Northland
Update:
The occupants of all vehicles at the scene of the Raumanga crash have been freed.
Two school-aged children were earlier transported by ambulance to Whangarei hospital with injuries described as being moderate and minor.
One of the two trapped adults has also been transported with status 2 (moderate) injuries.
Initial indications are that the accident occurred when a vehicle turned into Tauroa Street from the state highway colliding with traffic travelling straight through.
The state highway has been reopened although the backlog has yet to clear.
