“Fundraising is really important to us as we actually don’t receive government funding – we fall between the cracks because we don’t physically place women in employment. But we’re instrumental in giving them the skills and confidence to win and keep a job.”

Dress for Success Auckland supports nearly 1500 women seeking employment each year by providing interview attire, career support, and employment retention advice.

“Of the 1500 women we see each year, 72 percent find employment. That’s a stunning figure – but it will only increase if we have the money to help those in need. While we have some strong partnerships, all of our funding comes from community grants, corporate partners, and private donations,” added French.

Cocktails in the City will serve up beautiful cocktails and canapes amidst the stunning surrounds and sounds of the evening. A premium auction featuring luxury holidays at The Eagles Nest in Russell and Millbrook resort in Queenstown, will complement a red carpet photo lounge, wishing tree and gift bags valued at more than the cost of the ticket price.
