Identity sought - Slim Street, Hamilton - Waikato

Hamilton Police are investigating an incident which occurred at 12:10 p.m Friday the 22nd of April on Slim Street, Hamilton.

Detective Christie GILLIVER said a 10 year old girl was on Slim Street with two of her younger relatives when an unknown male approached her and engaged her in conversation.

The subsequent actions of this man are of concern to police and information is sought from the public to help identify him. Police would also like to speak to anyone who could have witnessed this encounter in the Bader area.

The man was last seen heading towards the skate park on Normandy Avenue from Montgomery Crescent after speaking with the young girl.

The man is described as Caucasian, in his 40’s to 50’s, 5’7” and of a medium build.

He has grey toned coloured hair at the base with longer ginger coloured hair at the top of his head and short brown hair at the back and sides.

At the time of the incident he was wearing dark coloured track pants and a maroon jacket or hooded sweatshirt.
