Sue Henry "Don't sign off the Auckland Unitary Plan before
the 2016 elections!
"In light of the fact that parties
from a number of different political persuasions are now on
the same page, regarding abolishing the Metropolitan Urban
Limit (MUL), it now leaves Auckland Council completely out
of step with their continual persistence on intensifying
most suburbs in the Auckland regional catchment area," says
Sue Henry, Spokesperson for the Housing Lobby and Tamaki
Housing Groups.
"The Auckland Unitary Plan 'going up'
proposal hinges on Auckland being a compact city - therefore
it is imperative that the Auckland Uniary Plan is NOT signed
off this side of the 2016 Auckland local body
elections."
