UPDATE: Search for missing divers near Bluff harbour

"UPDATE: Search for missing divers near Bluff harbour"

Police and the Coast Guard are continuing to search the Bluff harbour area after a member of the public reported seeing two divers being swept out in the current earlier this afternoon.

Police are currently investigating a report that two white 4WD vehicles were parked in the vicinity of Marine Parade, Bluff at around 10.30–11am this morning.

It is believed that occupants from these vehicles were observed entering the water while a third man waited on land.

Police urgently need to speak with the occupants of these vehicles or any person with any information relating to them.

MFAT's decision to remove te reo from correspondence before new Ministers are sworn in risks undermining the important progress the public sector has made in honouring te Tiriti.
