"UPDATE 3: Search for divers missing near Bluff"

Southern Police have conducted a thorough search of the Bluff harbour and Foveaux Strait after a member of the public reported seeing two divers swept out in the current around 1pm.

Coastguard, commercial fishing vessels and a helicopter have all been involved in the search.

Police are yet to confirm whether the subjects of the reported sighting are still missing and have conducted extensive local and media enquiries in relation to this.

Search efforts for today will now move into a limited continuous search phase pending any new information.
