Police can
now release the name of the man who was killed in a crash on
State Highway 2 near Pongakawa yesterday at approximately
10:30am.
He is 30-year-old Martin John Ferry of
Tauranga.
Police offer their sympathies to the friends and
family of Mr Ferry at this tragic time.
Police would also
like to thank the members of the public who assisted at the
scene of the crash and drivers for their patience when using
the road diversions.
The investigation into the
circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing therefore
Police cannot comment
further.
