Crash in Opotiki - Waiotahi Beach Road closed Thursday, 3 November 2016 - 11.50pm National News Two vehicles have been involved in a fatal crash near the Pipi Beds on Waiotahi Beach Road in Opotiki, Bay of Plenty, at about 8.22pm this evening, 3 November. The two vehicles have been involved in a head on collision.
as a result of the collision one vehicle has caught on fire.
The driver of that vehicle has been unable to extract themselves from the vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle has been transported to hospital. Waiotahi Beach Road is closed at Verrall Road and Parerata Ridge Road. Police, fire and ambulance are in attendance. Police are still in attendance at the scene, and serious crash are investigating.
