Police can now confirm the identity of the woman who died in a fatal crash on State Highway 2 at Raupunga, in the early hours on Thursday 3 November, 2016.
Twenty-year-old Takumanawa Kara, from Hamilton, died after her car came off the road about 1km out of Raupunga, towards Wairoa.
The serious crash unit's investigation is ongoing.
Police's thoughts are with Takumanawa's family and friends at this difficult time.
