Four children injured after tree falls at childcare centre
Fallen tree at Discoveries Childcare
Police have
attended a scene in which four children have been injured at
Discoveries daycare centre in Newmarket.
Police were advised at 1.40pm that a tree had fallen into the daycare centre.
Fire and St John Ambulance have also attended and four children have been taken to hospital.
The fallen tree was growing within the daycare centre grounds and has fallen within the property.
Because this is considered to be a workplace, Worksafe NZ have been advised and Police are holding the scene until such time as Worksafe NZ arrive and take over.
