Here comes Santa: Carols in Cornwall Park
Here comes Santa: Carols in Cornwall Park
Carols will again ring out from Cornwall Park in Hastings in the lead up to Christmas, for the 131st year in a row.
And Santa is promising to be there.
The TSB Bank Carols in Cornwall Park will be held on Sunday, December 11, a week ahead of the new regional celebration, Christmas in the Park, which is being held for the first time at the A&P Showgrounds in Hastings.
Santa said the Hastings carols is one of the oldest he knew of and he would not miss it. His driver in Hastings, councillor Kevin Watkins, said Santa would be at the park at about 6.30pm.
“We’ve checked his diary and it’s all booked in. He is looking forward to being there.”
Carols in Cornwall Park will start at 5pm with music from the Flaxmere LDS Church Choir. They will be followed by talented local singers Mia Sohnge and Hannah Ludlow. The ever popular Bay Brothers will entertain ahead of community carol singing which will be led by the Deco Bay Brass and the Hawke’s Bay Carollers.
Carols in Cornwall Park is brought to you by the Hastings District Council with support from TSB Bank.
