"Serious crash in Gordonton, Hamilton"
The intersection of Puketaha Road and Taylor Road in Gordonton, Hamilton is closed following a serious crash.
The crash occurred just before 2pm this afternoon and involved a car and a motorbike.
The motorcyclist received critical injuries and has been taken to Waikato Hospital.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
Due to the crash the intersection of Puketaha Road and Taylor Road is closed and diversions are in place at Sainsbury Road and Telephone Road.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible or delay their travel.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
