Smales Farm Incident

Smales Farm deeply regrets the incident on its premises this afternoon, resulting in the death of a man.

Smales Farm Chief Executive Paul Gunn says the tragic incident is being dealt with via the assistance of professionals and officials.

“We are fully cooperating with the police and officials who are investigating the incident and have provided CCTV footage.

“We have also arranged counselling services for businesses and their employees on site who may have seen or are affected by this tragic event.”

While the event is not considered a workplace incident, Worksafe have been notified as a matter of course.

Smales Farm is committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment for local businesses, employees and the wider community.

“Our thoughts and sympathies are with the family and friends of the deceased at this difficult time.”
