"One dead in SH 63 crash overnight"
One person has died in a crash on State Highway 63 in the Wairau Valley overnight.
The crash, between a truck and a ute, occurred on the Wye Bridge at around 1.30am this morning.
The
driver of the ute was killed in the crash.
The two truck
occupants were uninjured.
The truck caught on
fire following the crash and will need to be towed from the
scene.
Motorists in the area are advised to expect delays this morning, until the truck is able to be removed.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
