Update: fatal crash State Highway 16,
Kumeu
One person has died following the serious
crash on State Highway 16 in Kumeu.
Emergency services
were called to the crash involving three cars near Kennedys
Road at around 8.35pm.
The man who died was the sole
occupant of one of the cars.
Another person has been taken
to North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.
A third
person has been taken to hospital to be checked as a
precaution.
The road is closed and is expected to remain
so for the next few hours.
Motorists are being advised to
avoid the area.
The Serious Crash Unit is
investigating.
