"Police investigating robbery in Whakatane"

Police
Police are currently investigating a robbery at the
Mananui Dairy on James Street, Whakatane earlier this
morning.
At around 7.10am two men entered the premises
with their faces covered, carrying wooden weapons and stole
cigarettes before fleeing the scene.
The dairy owner was
in the shop at the time, but was not injured.
Whakatane
CIB are currently investigating the incident, and they ask
that anyone who was in the area at the time of the robbery
and may have information that could assist to please get in
touch.
Anyone who remembers seeing anything suspicious in
the area is also encouraged to contact Police.
