Enquiries have been made this morning at an Otumoetai, Tauranga address in relation to the death of a man who was dropped at the hospital with critical injuries at around 12.20pm yesterday.
He died a short time later.
As a result of this morning's enquiries, a man is now assisting Police with our investigation.
Police are confident there is no further risk to the public.
A further update will be provided when it becomes available.
