Section of Tinakori Road closed

Police are asking the public to avoid Tinakori Road, Wellington.

Police have been made aware of an unattended item on Tinakori Road around 10:50am today and as a precaution there are cordons in place while the situation is assessed.

The road has been evacuated between 110 and 246 Tinakori Road, between Hill and Molesworth Streets, and the public are asked to avoid the area until further notice.
