"Update on serious crash in Sockburn, Christchurch"
Police attended a serious crash involving a car and a motorcycle in Sockburn, Christchurch last night.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Peer Street and Yaldhurst Road at around 10.06pm.
The rider of the motorbike, a man aged 43, has since passed away in hospital.
The Serious Crash Unit have investigated the scene and inquiries are ongoing.
The name will be released when all next of kin have been advised.
