"Amberley tyre fire – shut your doors and windows"

Residents on and around Racecourse Rd, Amberley, North Canterbury are being advised to close their doors and windows due to smoke in the air following a tyre fire.

Emergency services were called to a yard between Stanton Rd and Mt Brown Rd just before 6.30pm.

There is not considered to be any threat to people or property.
