"Delays on the Wainuiomata Hill Road, due to road works."

Traffic will find it slow going on the Wainuiomata Hill tonight as commuters head home for the evening.

Roadworks on the Wainuiomata side means there are signifcant traffic delays, since it's now peak hour traffic.

Motorists are asked to delay their travel if possible until the road clears.

Police thank commuters for their patience.
