Kiwi Skincare Brand Donates All Profits to Orphaned And Vulnerable Children in Kenya

Kiwi skincare brand Essence of Humanity will donate 100% of its profits to a project supporting orphaned and vulnerable children in Kenya.

Essence of Humanity will be supporting Satinwood, a children’s home in Miti Mingi village in Kenya, run by international aid and development agency – So They Can.

Essence of Humanity is a natural skincare brand developed by award-winning skincare creator Stacey Fraser and the director of international aid and development agency So They Can, Cassandra Treadwell.

“Every child matters and Essence of Humanity reaching out to support the children of Miti Mingi Village is such a beautiful and impactful contribution,” says Essence of Humanity Co-Founder Stacey Fraser.

Satinwood is one of 15 homes for children in Miti Mingi Village. There are 8 orphaned and vulnerable children in each home, who are cared for by a dedicated ‘house mother.’

The children receive quality education, nutritious meals, medical care and get to engage in everyday activities that kids all over the world take for granted, like playing sport or doing arts and crafts.

So They Can Director and Essence of Humanity Co-founder Cassandra Treadwell explains that many of the children end up at the home after experiencing extreme poverty and deprivation.

“Children at Miti Mingi come to us at the advice of our social workers after being found living in rubbish dumps, in the street or in slum areas.”
