"Police seek Joel Ross Matiu"

Attribute to Detective Sergeant Louise Curragh:

Tauranga Police wish to locate Joel Ross Matiu, aged 26, in relation to a serious assault in Henderson Crescent, Parkvale, Tauranga on the afternoon of Saturday 15 September.

Matiu has links to the wider Western Bay of Plenty, Rotorua and Matamata areas.

He is considered dangerous and should not be approached by members of the public.

Any person knowing the current whereabouts of Matiu is asked to call 111 immediately.
