Christchurch Police seeking information on armed robbery

"Christchurch Police seeking information on armed robbery"

Attributable to Detective Sergeant Brad Greenstreet:

Police investigating an armed robbery at a Christchurch bar this week are appealing to anyone who may have information about what happened to come forward.

Shortly before 9:30pm on Tuesday 23 October, three men wearing black hoodies and scarves over their faces entered Coaster’s Tavern on Daniels Road, Redwood.

The men were armed with a screwdriver, a machete and a firearm.

They threatened bar staff and patrons as they demanded money.

During the incident, one shot was fired into the ceiling by one of the offenders.

A 19 year old woman and a 67 year old man were assaulted during the incident and received minor injuries.

These injuries were not as a result of the firearm discharge.

The trio of offenders left the bar in a stolen dark blue Mazda Familia hatchback, before dumping it nearby in a residential area.

This was a violent and dangerous incident, and it is fortunate that more people were not seriously hurt.

Police would like to reassure the public that we are committed to catching these offenders and holding them to account.

We would also like to speak to anyone who might have information about this incident.

If you can help, or are able to identify the people in the photographs, please call Christchurch Police on (03) 363 7400, or information can be shared anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Deliberately though, America’s allies have now made it impossible for Biden to pursue that option... More>>
