"Motorcyclist dies following crash on Dyers Pass Road, Christchurch"
A motorcyclist has died following a crash on Dyers Pass Road, Christchurch this afternoon.
The crash occurred shortly before 2pm and involved a car and a motorcycle.
Dyers Pass Road has been closed since the crash but is due to re-open shortly.
The motorcyclist was transported from the scene by ambulance in a critical condition and has since died in hospital.
Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
