"Serious crash Dunedin Southern Motorway"

Motorists are advised that the Dunedin Southern Motorway, near the Mosgeil off ramp, is currently closed in both directions following a serious crash.

The crash occurred at 7.30pm and involved a motorcyclist.

One person has serious injuries.

Diversions are in place through Mosgiel southbound and Kinmont northbound.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

The Serious Crash Unit have been advised.

One person has died following the serious crash on State Highway 29, Lower Kaimai, this morning.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
