Auckland City Police are making enquiries after a man was located deceased at an Ellerslie home overnight.

Police were called to the property on Celtic Crescent at around 7.58pm following a report of a man found unresponsive at the address.

At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained.

Our focus is on establishing the circumstances surrounding the death and supporting the victim’s family at this difficult time.

A scene examination is underway at the address and is expected to take a couple of days.

Additionally, a scene guard is currently in place and the public can expect to see an increased Police presence in the area while our enquiries continue.

As part of our enquiries, Police are appealing for any information or sightings of a blue Kia Rio, registration NJN927, which was last seen at the Celtic Crescent address.

Anyone with information that may assist with our enquiries is asked to contact Police via 105, quoting file number 231106/8053.
