Tim Finn To Feature At Amex Cup OPen Day

American Express New Zealand Cup Village

Everyone who attends the Open Day on the 10th of October is in for a special treat; New Zealand music icon Tim Finn will be giving a one-hour free concert in the afternoon.

PR Manager for the AMEX Cup Village Sue Foley said" We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have someone of such high international standing as Tim Finn for the day. He is someone who appeals to everyone.

Tim has just released a new song called 'Twinkle', the first single from his eagerly anticipated solo album,'Say It Is So' which is due for release in February 2000.'Twinkle is a song to lead you out of winter, into Spring and Summer beyond.

Tim Finn has a long and distinguished music career including forming Split Enz for which he was the lead singer. He later became a member with brother Neil of Crowded House that achieved major success on both the American and English Charts before going back to his solo career.

Tim now lives back in New Zealand as he says he wanted his son Harper to know the feeling of growing up in this country.

The AMEX Cup Village is proving to be one of New Zealand's hottest destination points and it is only fitting that one of this country's most popular singer/musicians performs on such an important occasion.

Ms Foley said," the Open Day on the 10th of October is a fun family day with entertainment getting underway at 10am and continuing until 5pm. Headline act, Tim Finn will be performing at 3pm.
