Flying Pig lands at Bates

Kiwi on-line web store, Flying Pig , has appointed The Bates Palace to handle its brand development and marketing communications.

The appointment marks a significant step in Flying Pig's ambition to be New Zealand's leading webstore according to Flying Pig marketing manager Kirsten Ford.

The Bates Palace, along with sister companies 141 Palace Plus and The Media Palace, will manage the brand across all facets of communication.

Kirsten Ford said Flying Pig chose The Bates Palace for its creative and strategic abilities as well as Bates' "ability to deliver solutions seamlessly across all aspects of the marketing mix".

Noel Browne, CEO of The Bates Palace said his people were delighted with the appointment and were 'fizzing' about the Flying Pig business.

"E-business is changing the way we think about communications," Browne said. "Marketers are realising the benefits of a multi-faceted communications group to help them keep pace with the changing commercial landscape new technology brings."

Flying Pig previously used a number of independent suppliers. The appointment follows a competitive capabilities presentation involving a number of agencies and is effective immediately.
